              Sights, sounds and smells can trigger the desire to eat

              Doing anything in an excessive repetitive mindless way is not good for you and always a symptom of a deeper mental health problem.You have to find and understand the trigger to eat.  If you cannot stop eating and continue eating too much even though you know your health and potentially your life is at risk then it's your depression, the underlying cause of your food addiction, you have to address in therapy before thinking about changing your diet and lifestyle.

              How often do you find yourself in the mood for food? Does the thought of certain foods make you happy? Are you eating for comfort?

              Venus Cow says “Don’t keep grazing, be “amazing”.”

              You are what you eat, so if you find yourself constantly in a bad mood, chances are you are eating too much of the wrong food. Anything you eat that is white, rice, bread, pasta, etc. you are missing out on goodness ending up with only momentary comfort and constant constipation.

              Venus Cow says “Not much comfort.”

              How to lift your mood; swapping white for brown will make you healthy and get your system working again. Ten cups of tea and coffee with milk and sugar may be your daily fix-boost but too much caffeine will play havoc with your moods, never mind your cellulite and make your life miserable.

              Try drinking green tea, a powerful antioxidant and Chinese weight loss miracle then watch your energy levels rise making you feel good from the inside out.

              If you are in menopause with raging mood swings try giving up all dairy and eat houmous, a natural remedy for keeping you balanced and centred.

              The truth is, eating food late at night will only end up giving you less sleep leaving you feeling grumpy, tired and in a bad mood. Make your last meal around 6pm. Your body has enough work to do during sleep so give it a rest with the late night bingeing. Chocolate may make you feel happy while scoffing a third Galaxy bar but you will instantly feel bad when you cannot fit into your favourite jeans.

              “What do you desire more, the Galaxy or the jeans fitting.”

              Cut out chocolate altogether and see how you feel then.

              To change the way you feel about yourself you have to change the way you eat.

              Comfort eating equals Fat figure.

              Healthy eating equals Fabulous figure.

              Being in the mood to participate in your own happiness comes from how you feel about yourself.

              For a mood boost eat a small avocado every day for a week and see how you feel. Recognise this fruit is essential for plump youthful skin and will stimulate production of anti wrinkle collagen and vitamin E making it the best food you can eat for a healthy complexion.

              FYI If you are hiding your eating patterns from people you care about, ashamed about your eating, scoffing in private or eating and then purging or throwing up these are all signs of a more serious mental problem than just being greedy.
