Don't Judge Nigella The Domestic Goddess
We all have the potential to be addicted to something
I was not shocked to discover the secret behind Nigella Lawson and her recent marital and personal problems because in reality every one of us is human and being perfect is almost impossible in a not so perfect world. The country is full of people addicted to drugs, alcohol, sex and food, you only need to open your eyes but for Nigella this is going to be devastating yet hopefully life changing for the better. When we look closely at ourselves we may look different but the truth is we are all surprisingly similar.
Living with a coke addiction, if this is the truth, is not easy and unless you have been there, it is impossible to understand how it gets you, so we have to look at the whole picture and hope things coming out in the open leads her to a healthier, happier place. If I was Nigella right now and this addiction is real, I would hold up my head and my hands and confess without excuses because any addiction is about being unhappy and being unable to face life without it. What others think should not matter right now and taking her down would serve no purpose only to give her more reason to be sad, depressed and ashamed, things you don't need when your whole life is exposed as a big lie, especially if you are in the public eye.
Her brand may be damaged and she may not have been fair in her dealings with her ex-husband and that fateful shot taken in Scotts with his hand round her neck but let’s remember, she is human and all stories have two sides.
“Who are you to judge the life I live? I know I'm not perfect -and I don't live to be- but before you start pointing fingers...make sure your hands are clean!”
